Review: I bought my first Apple Mac in about October last year and decided to go for a MacBook. Even after this review, it seemed to have the right balance of power and 'portableness' and a play with one in an Apple Store sold me on it further.

3 months later and I would't be without it now. I used to be a Linux user (and sometimes Windows) but now am a completely converted Mac zealot!

I get phenomenal battery life when working (I'm a PHP developer) and watching movies is great, the remote control is very handy for when it's plugged in to my LCD TV.

I did however upgrade the hard drive to a 7200rpm model within 2 weeks of getting it and the RAM to 2GB within the first couple of days.
Pros: Battery life, weight, power (as in processor speed)
Cons: Slow hard drive by default
Score: 9/10
